programmes

England Netball delivers the following programmes many of which are in place or in development in Kent.  More information on all of the following can be found on the England Netball website here.

Sessions:

  • Back to Netball

    • Put simply, it’s a fun and friendly re-introduction to netball. Running across England more than 130,000 women have re-discovered their love for the game through Back to Netball and realised the many benefits of getting involved. All sessions are delivered by an England Netball Level 2 qualified coach. Gathering insight from our current participants informed us of the importance of a qualified coach to this level, who can support with their needs and expand their playing experience with a greater level of coaching knowledge. It’s primarily for women who haven’t played for a long time or have never played at all and are complete beginners!

  • Bee netball

    • Trailblazer Clubs.  Bee Netball is England Netball’s fun and nurturing programme for children (aged 5-9-year-olds) at the beginning of their team sport journey. It is designed to introduce children to netball skills: throwing, catching, footwork and shooting. More importantly, the programme is designed to support every child’s personal development on and beyond the court. All activities are underpinned by our Beeliefs; our core values are focused on improving your child’s belief in their own ability.  For more info and how to become a trailblazer club contact Rachael.purchase@englandnetball.co.uk

  • Blended Netball

    • Blended Netball, a leadership programme designed for mainstream girls to deliver netball to girls with special educational needs within their schools – providing netball for pupils who may not otherwise be involved. Blended Netball is a new secondary school peer to peer offer, along with proving SEN pupils with a new sport, Blended Netball gives the opportunity for mainstream girls to develop important life skills such as leadership, communication, and empathy.

  • Core Inclusive Clubs

  • Netball Now

    • Netball Now – Netball Now is a simple, straight-forward way to play netball. It’s not a coached session, it’s not a competition led by rules, regulations or scores recorded, it is simply a session that you turn up at, pay a small fee and play a game of netball! All sessions are delivered by a netball facilitator and all games must be officiated by an umpire who as a minimum is a fully qualified Into Officiating Award umpire or has completed the virtual C Award course and is in training.

  • Nets

  • Walking Netball

    • Walking Netball is a slower version of the game we all love; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Women the length of the country have started playing Walking Netball for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer. All sessions are delivered by our trained team of Walking Netball hosts. The sessions are specially designed by to be super welcoming and largely follow the same formats as any other netball session – including a warm-up, mini-games and drills followed by a friendly game. From those who have dropped out of the sport they love due to serious injury to those who believed they had hung up their netball trainers many years ago, Walking Netball really is for everyone.
